am writing about Jug in my life for the #DearZindagi activity at BlogAdda“.

Hello,
So you want me to say something about JUG of my life, right? So here I go.There is always one person in everyone’s life who is THE LIFELINE. By Lifeline I mean to say he/she is the one you think will always be there for you no matter what the circumstances. I also have a JUG of my life. He is my elder brother. Though only two years elder than me in age; he is 20 years elder in intelligence, maturity and experience.

Let me begin from childhood. Being the elder one amongst us, he was the natural shield for me. My parents were always strict with him and sweet with me. He was always the one who got scolded for the mischiefs we did together. My mom always used to take my side when father had to scold one amongst us. She always used to say, “Ise kuch mat kahiye.Ye bada hi ise apne saath shararat karvata hai.” And my brother, with a big heart neither justified himself nor tried to put blame on me. He always protected me without any regrets. Also, whenever it came to divide food or gifts in between us, he always used to give me the bigger chunk.

My mom says that my first lessons for playing were taught to me by him. He taught me how to hold a bat, how to bowl and how to kick a foot ball. As a child I was very impatient and short-tempered. I frequently used get into quarrels with other children who bullied me. In such situations, he used to be the one who settled scores for me, cooled down situations and at times scolded me for being so impatient. He was my protector and a cushion that gave me the faith that no matter however worse situation may be, he would be there to protect me.

Mathematics is a monster every child has to face in school life. Fighting with it became easier as my brother guided me smoothly through all the problems. I owe my academic achievements and intellectual progress to him. He used to discuss his mistakes with me very frankly and it prevented me from making the same. I am someone with zero fashion sense. So when it comes to decide what to wear on what occasions, I always turn up to him. He guides what kind of hair style to have, what kind of beard to have, what body Deo to use, what kind of wrist watch or shoes I must have.

It was obvious for him to start earning before me. During my college days, he used to be my bank account. The moment he used to get his salary, he would transfer one-third of it into my bank-account without me even asking for it. So technically, my movies, parties, outings, picnics were sponsored by him. Also he never asked for any return favour.

There are times when I get frustrated with life. There are problems which are slightly bigger than the mathematics problems. Be it failure in exam or not scoring enough to get distinction or complicated relationships I always turn up to him. He doesn’t waste a single second in making attempts to bring me back to normal. He consoles me like a parent. Advises like a teacher and also pats on my back when I succeed in recovering. The only thing you want in depressing times is to have someone who listens to you. He is the guy I can rely upon. I know that whatever I want to speak out I can in front of him and he will listen me completely like an obedient student. I can cry my heart out in front of him. I can tell him the things which I can’t share with my parents. He is all ears for me. Today if I am a carefree, loving person who has the ability to cope up with difficult situations its all because of my JUG.

Thank you JUG for standing by my side each and every moment.
